from Mayor Holt
Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said, “We are very excited by the potential of Strawberry Fields. Our city’s investments have elevated us to America’s 20th-largest city, and many of those investments are adjacent to Strawberry Fields. Additionally, we offer an ease of doing business, a diversified economy, and a high quality of life.”
Oklahoma City has committed nearly $5 billion in quality of life investments over the last quarter-century. Included in that are uniquely successful initiatives around sports and entertainment The city has already funded and is planning a $1 billion new arena for the Thunder of the NBA, which is scheduled to open in 2028. Also nearby Strawberry Fields will be a new professional soccer stadium slated to start construction in 2025. Less than a mile away is the RIVERSPORT whitewater center that will host six events during the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
“Strawberry Fields’ location in the heart of our great city provides an opportunity to shape a vibrant new community that complements downtown and will help to define Oklahoma City’s future,” added Mayor Holt.
